Member Spotlight: Larry Berkovich
Larry made the most of his club membership after a recent diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea and pre-diabetes.
A 37-year-old corporate attorney whose life-style was mostly sedentary, Larry reached 248 pounds in September of 2007.
Larry is pleased to report that a combination of rigorous exercise, including frequent visits to the Club for spin classes and personal training sessions with Jim Guimond, paired with a medically supervised low calorie protein diet have helped bring his weight down to 164 pounds. His previously diagnosed medical conditions are now a thing of the past.
Exercise and nutrition are an important part of Larry's new life-style. An expecting father, he now enjoys working out at the club and running and cycling, both as ways of maintaining his weight and health, but also as a way to serve as a role model to his new daughter.
