Group Exercise
The group exercise classes at Charlotte Athletic Club offer something for everyone.
Abs and Stretch- This class combines stretching and tummy tightening core exercises to compliment any workout. This class will help to improve posture, flexibility and overall wellness. All levels are welcome.
Athletic Conditioning- A conditioning class that incorporates various plyometric, speed and agility drills to enhance strength, power and coordination. All levels are welcome.
Boot Camp Training- Designed to whip you into shape in no time. Using multiple strengthening techniques combined with intervals of cardio, you can be sure to work up a good sweat in this class soldier! All levels are welcome.
Cardio Body Sculpting- Muscle toning at a heart pumping pace is sure to make you sweat and leave you with a full workout. All levels are welcome.
Challenge Cycling- Pedal your way through this choreographed class to a better body and cardiovascular fitness. Using specific heart rate zones and excellent coaching styles this class will have you training like a pro in no time. All levels are welcome.
Core Fusion- Combining all styles of training, this class will assure your workout is balanced. In just 45 minutes, you will get a head to toe workout that will leave you satisfied. All levels are welcome.
Core Pilates –Based upon the concepts developed by Joseph Pilates, this series of mat-based exercises will strengthen the abdominals, glutes and lower back. All levels are welcome.
Core Strength- No time to fit it all in? This quick fix will help you strengthen and tone your core muscles in just 30 minutes. All levels are welcome.
Cycle & Abs -This class is 45 minutes of serious, calorie-burning, energy boosting cycle paired with an amazing core workout. It’s better than an espresso shot for waking up your morning! All levels are welcome.
Cycle Express- Get your quick dose of cycling with this 30 minute energy packet class. Nothing but pure power pedaling for 30 minutes! All levels are welcome.
Cycle Sculpt & Abs Express This interval style class combines the heart-pumping, adrenaline boosting effects of a cycling workout with the body toning, cross benefits of weight work and core strengthening. No impact required, results guaranteed and back to the office before the boss … that equals one great midday workout! All levels are welcome.
Lower Body Conditioning- Target those hard to hit spots with this challenging work out. This class will leave you looking beautiful from the waist down and stronger all over. All levels are welcome.
Pedal To the Metal- This high energy cycling class will rev your engine. Combining intervals of aerobic training with anaerobic bouts helps you to increase your aerobic endurance and anaerobic threshold. Appropriate for anyone looking to work up a good sweat! All levels are welcome.
Power Yoga - Power Yoga is energizing, challenging and invigorating with the goal of leaving students feeling relaxed and centered - fitting for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. Yoga postures are held to increase strength and flexibility and then organically flow into the next pose, incorporating breath with movement. Some yoga experience is recommended but not required.
Total Body Workout-This quick, lunchtime class is designed in a circuit style to keep your heart rate pumping and those calories burning. Both cardio and strength training are combined during this class.
Wake Up and Work Out- Start your morning off right with this functional strength class & invigorate your entire body. This upbeat class will incorporate a variety of exercises and utilize many different pieces of equipment to add variety to your morning cup of exercise.
Yoga 101 (beginners)- A great place to start or reconnect with yoga to improve your flexibility, strength and peace of mind. Participants learn Yoga basics, alignment and beginning postures with emphasis on building core strength, balance, concentration and breath control.
Yoga-lates - A combination of Yoga and Pilates, to push tension away, stretch and strengthen core muscles. A fun workout where you can relax, receive, and renew! All levels are welcome.
